I would love to share with you all everything that is new, but instead I will share something less exhausting. Here is a poem I wrote in 1995...
BLACK RAIN
I can't cry
I won't lie
I can't decide
Should I die
Black and blue
Slit on my wrist
You can see it
When I clench my fist
The blackest rain
Runs through my veins
I won't refrain
It's you I blame
Stuck on my back
I won't crack
I just relax
To let the pain attack
If I wake
Give me some more
If I die
It's without remorse

Nice! So is this the origins of your blog's name? There's a genuine poet inside of you!
Thanks Stella! The origin of my blog name actually comes from the opening lyrics of a song by Stereophonics called "Since I Told You It's Over". I just felt it aptly described how I feel sometimes.
I started writing poetry in 1994 with my first poem being "Indignant", which I have posted in my blog. Not only do I feel it was my best writing, but it has very deep personal and emotional meaning for me.
But not all poems do. In fact this one (Black Rain) is about drug use. I've never done drugs of any kind in my life, yet this seemed to pour out of me one rainy night when I was in a desolate state of mind. So I sometimes write as a storyteller almost. But regardless they all come from my heart.
